Jeanne Bae, born and raised in South Korea, started playing flute at the age of ten and had won numerous prizes in competitions in her country since then, including the Korea Flute Association Competition, Seoul Philharmonic Competition, Seoul Art Music Competition, CBS Music Competition, and Music Education News Competition.

She graduated with the bachelor’s degree in flute performance from Mokwon University on full scholarship and consistently built up her experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player in her hometown before coming to America. While in college, she also started giving lessons to young students, and she continues to enjoy teaching to this day.

​She completed the Performer’s Certificate program from Northern Illinois University and University of Connecticut on full scholarship and has recently performed at Carnegie Hall as a first-place winner of American Protégé International Woodwind Competition.
